Geology
Phosphorite samples #15 and #17 contained 500 and 1,000 ppm La, 700 and 1,000 ppm Y, 12 and 9 percent P, 1,500 ppm Cr, 500 and 70 ppm V, up to 3 ppm Ag, and 100 ppm Zn. Sample #16 was collected from black shale in the Phosphoria Formation and contained 150 ppm La, 200 ppm Y, 5 ppm Ag, 100 ppm Cr, and 700 ppm Zn. (Sutherland and Cola (2016))
