Daido Electronics Nakatsugawa NdFeB magnet plant

NdFeB magnet plant of Daido Electronics Co., Ltd. (a 100%-owned subsidiary of Daido Steel) at Nasubigawa 1642-144, Nakatsugawa City, Gifu, producing anisotropic NdFeB hot-worked magnets (NEOQUENCH-DR), isotropic NdFeB bonded magnets (NEOQUENCH-P) and isotropic SmFeN bonded magnets since 1990/91. METI approved the joint Daido Steel / Daido Electronics permanent-magnet supply assurance plan 2024永久磁石第2号-1 on April 25, 2024 (capacity expansion, max subsidy about 0.5 billion yen); METI names the companies, not plant sites, so attribution of the plan to this plant is marked inferred.

Hot-worked and bonded NdFeB magnet production

Operating

Anisotropic NdFeB hot-worked magnets (NEOQUENCH-DR), isotropic NdFeB bonded magnets (NEOQUENCH-P) and isotropic SmFeN bonded magnets (NITROQUENCH-P). Note: products are hot-worked and bonded (not sintered) NdFeB magnets; the output material ref is mapped to the nearest available material and marked inferred.
