LKAB ReeMAP (Malmberget/Per Geijer — Luleå Industrial Park)
LKAB's ReeMAP project recovers apatite concentrate from iron ore mine tailings at Malmberget/Gällivare (with the Per Geijer deposit as a future extraction component) for processing into phosphorus, rare earth elements and gypsum at a planned circular industrial park in Luleå, where a SEK 800 million demonstration plant began construction in January 2025 with operation planned for end-2026. Recognised as an EU Critical Raw Materials Act Strategic Project in March 2025 (Annex entry 38).
