NRCan GPI and FedDev Ontario conditional approval for Ucore Kingston Sm/Gd refinery (up to $36.3 million)

On October 31, 2025, Ucore Rare Metals announced conditional approval from the Government of Canada for up to $36.3 million CAD toward a first-of-its-kind commercial samarium and gadolinium refinery in Kingston, Ontario: up to $26.3 million non-repayable from NRCan's Global Partnerships Initiative plus up to $10 million from FedDev Ontario. The funding remains subject to meeting all program conditions, due diligence and other requirements, and the parties successfully negotiating and executing a Contribution Agreement, which had not been executed as of the announcement. This record therefore carries a conditional-commitment event only.
